The board will support the municipal administration in identifying solutions based on technology and digital. At the same time, it will have a receptive approach to the needs and requirements expressed by the departments and managements.

"Digitization must be a friend of the Public Administration and citizens – declared Mayor Giuseppe Sala –. It is with this purpose that the Board was created: both to facilitate internal work within the municipal machine and to make the relationship with people more effective. Today, in fact, the main challenge is to bring together the capabilities and solutions that technology makes available with the needs of people, to improve their quality of life. With the support of the Board, Milan will undertake to seize the opportunities growth offered by the PNRR, enhancing digital transformation and technological innovation as strategic tools to reduce inequalities".

"The activities and solutions that can be identified range across all areas of the city administration – underlined Layla Pavone –. We intend to promote innovation that is within everyone's reach, therefore inclusive. Which is useful for improving the relationship between the citizens and the Municipality of Milan and that it is sustainable, therefore capable of generating a positive social impact. Growing in innovation and digital transformation does not only mean increasing the competitiveness of the city, but also and above all making it more efficient and supportive. In this a great opportunity will come with the PNRR funds and with the opportunities that Milan will have to be able to seize and develop".
