Milan, October 31 2019 – The municipal council today approved the resolution that dictates the political guidelines for the agreement of the “Spirit de Milan” cultural project, carried out at the former Cristallerie Livellara in the Bovisa area.

The recognition by the Administration of the creative and recreational, social and cultural value of the project, already consolidated in Italy and abroad, will allow the stipulation of an agreement with a duration equal to the validity of the rental contract - and therefore until June 2023 - with the possibility of renewal for a further six years.

The objectives and contents of the convention will be aimed at promoting Milanese culture, theatre, poetry and music in all its forms - from swing to jazz, from pop to songwriting - to revitalize the cabaret season which has characterized history so much recent artistic development in Milan, to ensure that "Spirit de Milan" increasingly becomes a place of aggregation and sociality, of meeting and sharing, starting with the inhabitants of the Bovisa district. For this reason, an accessible price will be provided for all paid initiatives, in line with the prices already applied up to now.

The Municipality will have at least 20 days a year for its own activities or those promoted and supported by the Administration and the Municipality 9 at least five days a year for the same purposes.

The agreement will exclusively concern the spaces dedicated to cultural promotion and entertainment activities (approximately 1.200 mXNUMX). Therefore, the area intended for commercial activity remains excluded, for which the administrative procedure relating to the change of intended use is underway.
