Remembrance Day. The initiatives of the Municipality of Milan on Monday 10 February
Milan, February 9 2020 – Tomorrow, Monday 10 February, the Municipality of Milan celebrates the Day of Remembrance to preserve and renew the memory of the tragedy of the Italians and of all the victims of the Foibe, of the exodus of the Istrians, Fiumes and Dalmatians from their lands after the Second World War and of the most complex story of the eastern border.
At 11.30 am, a commemorative ceremony will be held in Largo Martiri delle Foibe.
At 14.30 pm, in via Einstein on the corner of via Tertulliano, the ceremony naming the garden after Norma Cossetto, martyr of the Foibe, will be held.
A representative of the municipal administration will be present at both events.
Furthermore, as indicated by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the national, European and civic flags of public buildings will be displayed at half-mast.
