Milan, February 10 2020 – The Municipality of Milan celebrated Remembrance Day with two different initiatives. 

At 11 am, attending a commemorative ceremony in Largo Martiri delle Foibe. And at 30 pm, in via Einstein at the corner of via Tertulliano, naming a garden after Norma Cossetto, martyr of the foibe.

Two moments to preserve and renew the memory of the tragedy of the Italians and of all the victims of the foibe, of the exodus of the Istrians, Fiumes and Dalmatians from their lands after the Second World War and of the more complex story of the eastern border.

Throughout the day, the national, European and civic flags of public buildings were flown at half-mast.
