Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery. Auction with enchantment for Ottagono shop

A local 60 m race2, starting price around 290 thousand euros per year

Milan, 19 January 2020 - The Council has approved the guidelines for the development of a shop near the Octagon of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. This is the 60 m room2 which is located along the longitudinal axis of the complex and which will go up for auction with the auction mechanism starting from a base of 289.935 euros of annual rent.

The race will take place in two parts. In the first, the technical offers that satisfy the requirements for participation in the tender will be evaluated. Excellent and high quality Made in Italy and international design, fashion, jewelery and works of art product projects will be admitted. The second phase, reserved only for qualified competitors, will take place with a public auction.

The store was assigned in May 2018 to the Del Vallino SpA company after a tender procedure. However, the space was returned in November 2019 after an order for the forfeiture of the rental contract issued by the Municipality against the same company, following non-compliant works carried out by the concessionaire and in the absence of the necessary authorizations.

The company filed an appeal before the Lombardy Regional Administrative Court for the annulment of the Municipality's provision. An appeal which was also rejected on appeal by the Council of State.
