Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery. Two showcases awarded to Rolex

For the shop, direct assignment after the unsuccessful tender: the annual rent will be 875 thousand euros, in line with the starting price, and then extended opening hours and interviews with former Stefanel staff

Milan, February 14 2020 – The Rolex brand lands in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and will occupy two of the three windows of the shop currently in use in Stefanel. The Municipality has in fact assigned the 473 m2019 space to the Damiani spa company, dealer of the prestigious watch brand, after the tender for the award of the spaces, held in July 875, was unsuccessful. The annual rent will be XNUMX thousand euros, equal to the starting price established by the tender.

The expression of interest was presented by Damiani spa in November 2019 and subsequently judged to be of merit and in line with the tender by the Commission specifically appointed by the Municipality. For this reason, the Administration has decided to entrust the space with the direct negotiation procedure, as required by current legislation in the event that the public tender is unsuccessful.

The new dealership will have to wait for the necessary time to vacate the property and will have to, as foreseen in the tender, stipulate a further concession for the spaces on the upper floors of the store, completing the sky-ground occupation. Furthermore, it has undertaken to adopt extended opening hours, in line with the need to increase the number of visitors to the Gallery and to hold discussions for the possible hiring of employees of the disused Stefanel store.
