Training. SUPER, the School of Applied Arts launches crowdfunding to open up to digital teaching

LAPIS launches a new program of daily online lessons for adults and children which complements the program of courses already chosen by many Italian and international students

Milan, June 28 2020 – SUPER, the Higher School of Applied Arts in Milan, launches LAPIS, the digital and online version of its training offer. A real social TV dedicated to the teaching of applied art with a schedule that includes free daily lessons for adults and children as well as a series of paid courses capable of meeting all passions and budgets.

LAPIS is a new multiplatform reality that lives on Facebook, alongside an archive of video lessons on Youtube, a Whatsapp community and an operating platform on Zoom, in addition to the more traditional communication channels such as Instagram and the weekly newsletter.

“As an Administration we have enthusiastically welcomed this new training project offered by Super – comments Cristina Tajani, councilor for Employment Policies, Productive Activities -. LAPIS combines innovation, thanks to the new post-covid online teaching, with the new methods of collective and participatory support of school activities through a valid tool such as crowdfunding. By supporting this fundraising action, not only will you be able to follow many online courses, helping to fuel and implement your passion for the applied arts, but you will be able to be part of the history of one of the most important Milanese institutions, a tradition that began almost 150 years ago, and which is now open to everyone's help".

To participate in the numerous online courses offered by LAPIS, simply contribute, with a small donation, to the crowdfunding campaign "A hand for LAPIS, the Super TV", a collective support action useful for raising funds to develop the entire digital part of the school , both in terms of practical technical organization and adaptation of cognitive paradigms (training for teachers, introduction to new media, new forms of knowledge sharing).

Those who choose to contribute to the campaign in support of LAPIS will receive, in exchange for their personal donation, numerous benefits such as: free access to numerous online courses, vouchers to enroll in the live courses scheduled for the autumn, as well as the donor certificate as well as seeing his name inscribed on the school's 'Wall of Benefactors'.

Many online courses to choose from, available from September: watercolour, character design, digital colour, humorous and cartoon drawing, life drawing, graphic novel, basic illustration and drawing, naturalistic illustration (English), oil painting and basic portrait.

The “A hand for LAPIS, the Super TV” campaign is created by Super in collaboration with Produzioni dal Basso – the first Italian crowdfunding and social innovation platform – and will allow the realization of an ambitious project: transforming a traditional school into a physical and digital platform within everyone's reach.
