Milan, May 7 2023 – Tomorrow, Monday 8 May, the Mayor Giuseppe Sala will open at 9.30 am, in viale Pasubio 5 at the Feltrinelli Foundation, the Food Forum - the Food Policy of Milan for the future of the city, over 30 events with 60 subjects involved, for talk about food policy in Milan.

The opening event, entitled 'Healthy and sustainable food for the future of the city: young people's proposals for the Food Policy of the Municipality of Milan', will be a multi-voice discussion on the themes of healthy and sustainable nutrition, with a overview of the policies launched in recent years in a dialogue between public and private bodies and institutions of primary importance on the issues of Milan's Food Policy and with a particular focus on the European 'Food Wave' project which is involving hundreds of young people from Milan together with them European peers with experiences, projects and activities to build more sustainable cities.

Opening the proceedings together with Mayor Sala were the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Education with responsibility for Food Policy Anna Scavuzzo and the Councilor for Youth Policies Martina Riva. 

Among others, Massimiliano Tarantino, Director of the Feltrinelli Foundation Giovanni Fosti, President of the Cariplo Foundation, Monica Ramaioli, General Director of the Umberto Veronesi Foundation will take part in the round tables and debates in the morning.

In the afternoon, starting from 16.30 pm Palazzo Marino, a municipal council will be held to present the Food Forum 2023 to councilors and councilors. The guest of the session will be Minister Plenipotentiary Stefano Gatti, Special Envoy for Food Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
During the debate, the activities developed by Italy in Europe and around the world will be shared, also in collaboration with the MiIlan Urban Food Policy Pact.
