Milan, November 4 2020 – Reflection on the future of Milan continues. The ideas and proposals that emerged during the meetings of the Fare Milano working groups, already presented during the days of public discussion in October, will be at the center of two online appointments with the Mayor Giuseppe Sala in the next few days which will see the participation of international personalities.

Tomorrow, Thursday 5 November, at 18pm, the Mayor will meet the Mayor of Barcelona Ada Colau.

On Friday 6 November, at 18 pm, the Mayor will talk about the Milan of the future with the director of the MIT Senseable City Lab Carlo Ratti.

The appointments will be broadcast on the WebTV of the Municipality of Milan"In common" and on the social channels of YesMilan.

The Fare Milano works were divided into two phases.

In the first phase - from 12 to 18 October - closed-door meetings of the 37 working groups dedicated to the seven themes covered by the reflection promoted by the Mayor to build and design the Milan of tomorrow were held. The activities, in which over 700 representatives from the world of institutions, universities, research, entrepreneurship, creativity, culture and volunteering took part, were carried out under the coordination of authoritative reference bodies:

1. The metropolis of neighborhoods (PIM Study Center);
2. In environmental transition (GREEN Research Center - Bocconi University);
3. A healthy city (Veronesi Foundation);
4. Smart & Working (Feltrinelli Foundation);
5. the need of Milan (Institute for Social Research);
6. Being born, growing up and living in Milan (Triulza Foundation);
7. A city that creates, knows and trains (Polytechnic University of Milan).

The second phase - from 19 to 29 October - developed into seven events, broadcast online, each dedicated to one of the seven themes. These days of public discussion made it possible to give back to the Milanese the reflections that animated the discussions and to delve deeper into the needs and projects to be implemented to design the future of the city.

Fare Milano is a project promoted by Milano&Partners, the agency for the development of the city of Milan, which sees the participation of the Municipality of Milan, the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza Lodi, the Fiera Milano Foundation, SEA, Pirelli, Italian Stock Exchange, Fiera Milano Congressi and Confcommercio Milano.
