Famedio. The 24 illustrious personalities to be inscribed in the Pantheon of Milan were decided
The Commission expressed a positive opinion for the burial of Marco Formentini, Carla Fracci and Carlo Tognoli
Milan, September 15 2021 – The Municipality's advisory commission for the honors at the Famedio expressed a favorable opinion on the burial of Marco Formentini (former Mayor of Milan), Carla Fracci (dancer) and Carlo Tognoli (former Mayor of Milan) in the Pantheon of Milan, in compliance with current regulations procedures.
During the same session, the names of the 24 personalities who will be inscribed in the Famedio inside the Monumental Cemetery on November 2nd were unanimously approved.
The list of illustrious citizens includes: Franco Battiato (musician), Paola Besana (designer), Lucia Bosè (actress), Pinin Brambilla Barcilon (restorer), Roberto Brivio (actor, singer and cabaret artist), Lydia Buticchi Franceschi (teacher, relay partisan), Roberto Calasso (writer and publisher), Marina Camatini (scientist), Livio Caputo (journalist), Bruno Ermolli (entrepreneur and business consultant), Giorgio Fantoni (publisher), Nedo Fiano (entrepreneur and writer, deported), Giorgio Galli (historian), Livio Garzanti (publisher), Franco Loi (poet), Giancarlo Majorino (poet), Enzo Mari and Lea Vergine (designer - art critic), Milva (singer), Paola Pigni (athlete), Rodrigo Rodriquez (entrepreneur, philanthropist), Antonietta Romano Bramo (partisan), Rossana Rossanda (partisan, journalist, parliamentarian), Gino Strada (doctor, founder of Emergency).
