Milan, August 14 2020 – The round of greetings in view of the August 15th by the deputy mayor Anna Scavuzzo and the councilor for social policies Gabriele Rabaiotti began this morning from the courtyard of one of the ALER public housing units in via Saponaro.
“There are many different stories we encountered today - comment by deputy mayor Scavuzzo and councilor Rabaiotti -, many different life situations, the paths taken to overcome difficult situations and the roads still to be followed in order to be reborn and redeem ourselves. It was a day full of humanity, spent with people of all ages who made us move, smile, have fun and learn. And to whom we hope to have also left a message of esteem and closeness for what they have experienced to date and for the future they will encounter."
In via Saponaro the councilors played with the children who are attending the programme's widespread summer centre #popularsummer and brought thanks to the team of the Italian Sports Center (CSI) which, together with the Milanese Orators Foundation (FOM), is coordinating the initiatives of the project conceived by the Administration to organize recreational, recreational, sporting and educational activities dedicated to children and young people between the ages of 6 and 14, in various working-class neighborhoods of the city.
Second stop in the early afternoon in Viale Ortles where, together with the guests of Casa Jannacci and the citizens of the neighborhood, the deputy mayor and councilor participated in the summer watermelon party, where the ice lollies donated by Kociss were also distributed.
This was followed by visits to the protected family home managed by the CIAO association, where to date five detained mothers with their children are welcomed, to a family from Syria hosted by the SIPROIMI diffusion in via Hermada, managed by the Farsi proprio cooperative, and at the community SIPROIMI in via Sammartini.
