European elections. From the Municipality 170 spaces for direct propaganda

The council approved the resolution for the installation of electoral boards in each municipality

Milan, 24 April 2019 - The Municipality of Milan will make 170 spaces available for electoral propaganda for the European Elections on May 26th. This was established by a resolution of the Council. According to the law in force, it is in fact the responsibility of the municipal administrations to identify the reference spaces for electoral propaganda.

This is only direct propaganda because a law, introduced in 2013, suppressed indirect propaganda and reduced to a third the number of spaces to be allocated to direct propaganda for municipalities with a resident population of more than 500 thousand inhabitants.

In Milan, in each of the 170 spaces, for each admitted list, a space will be allocated on the appropriate metal boards equal to 1 meter base by 2 meters height. The Municipality will, in the period between the 33rd and 31st day prior to the day of the vote, identify the spaces to be allocated to posters, separately for each admitted list, in each individual Municipality.
