Education. The call to support the private education system 0-6 with 2,5 million has been published

Contribution requests can be submitted online from 25 June to 9 July

Milan, June 18 2020 – The public notice for the allocation of resources of up to 2,5 million euros from the Mutual Aid Fund is online, to support the integrated education system which has suffered significant economic losses due to the health emergency caused by the spread of the Coronavirus.
The contributions will be dedicated to the private managers of Early Childhood Centers, Micro-nurseries, Nursery Schools, Family Nurseries, in possession of a regular CPE (preventive communication of operation) or authorization for operation and to private private nursery schools in possession of the relevant recognition ministerial. Contribution requests can be submitted online from 12pm on 25 June until 12pm on 9 July.

A maximum of 300 euros will be awarded for each child attending on 24 February 2020 to all managers of services and activities dedicated to children aged between 0 and 3 years old, in possession of a CPE. While for private nursery schools the maximum contribution will be 50 euros for each child attending on the date of school closure. If the requests for contributions exceed the overall budget foreseen, the contributions will be re-measured based on the requests received.

The resources will be provided to partially cover the economic damage suffered due to the suspension of educational activities during the health emergency. The beneficiaries must, however, have made a reduction or exemption from the attendance fees in favor of the families of the children attending. The extent of the damage will be determined on the basis of the difference between the expenses incurred (for example the rent and utilities) and the revenue collected, for example, through attendance fees in the period between 24 February and 30 June .

“Aware – declares Education Councilor Laura Galimberti – of the difficulties in which private managers of early childhood services are experiencing, and of the insufficient responses of national and regional institutions, the Council has chosen to intervene by allocating resources so that the realities who contribute to the 0-6 education system can continue to operate, guaranteeing a complementary offer to that of the Municipality, continuing in public-private collaboration."
