School buildings. Limonta presents the presidents of the municipality with a new database to track the works and the new figure of the operational director in the areas

Milan, January 15 2020 – “A positive meeting that I would like to reconvene within a few months to take stock of the new working methodology launched. I illustrated to the municipal presidents the new tools we have put in place and the objectives we want to achieve which are, in a nutshell, accessibility and transparency, reduction of time for carrying out interventions and dialogue with all the players in the field, from managers schools to parents".

With these words the councilor for school buildings Paolo Limonta commented on the meeting with the municipal presidents which took place this afternoon in Palazzo Marino.

At the meeting the councilor also presented the innovations already in place, in continuity with what has already been achieved by councilor Galimberti, and those arriving in the next few days.

From Monday, the nine operational directors of MM will take up service in all municipalities and will be the direct interface with the school building management for all necessary interventions in their areas. They will be asked for a monthly report to track the steps taken and keep the more complicated issues under control.

“The new delegations unite everything related to school buildings under the same Department, from construction to plants and greenery - said Councilor Limonta - and having a direct contact person in each municipality will allow the offices to monitor and track requests and interventions ”.

A new database based on CRM will also be online in February to manage interventions in schools more effectively. The new system will be able to show all the requests made and track, for each of them, the status of the work so that all operators can know at what stage the issue they are interested in is at.

In addition to obviously the school building offices, school directors, principals, organizational positions of nursery schools and the directors and presidents of the nine municipalities are also authorized to access this new system.

This will not only allow for greater transparency, but also greater efficiency. Each school will be able to understand the stage of its reporting and all operators will have the real situation of all requests at hand, making their work easier.

The third objective presented by councilor Limonta is dialogue with all the actors in the field. After the one with the presidents, meetings open to citizens are planned in all municipalities (the first next week in zone 5). Meetings will soon also be organized with the school managers, subsequently with the organizational positions of the nursery schools and finally with the parents' representatives.

“Transparency and dialogue - explained the councilor - are fundamental to understanding the needs of parents and their children and allowing the technicians of the sectors involved to carry out interventions that can satisfy the requests. At the same time, the comparison also allows us to explain the procedures and times necessary for each intervention, which are not always understandable to everyone. The aim is to work together for a safer and more beautiful school, suitable for children".
