Disability. Tourism 4 all! How to make accessible tourism

Milan, June 5 2019 – Tourism 4 all! is the name of the seminar that will be held on Monday 10 June starting at 9 am in the Council Room of Palazzo Turati, in Milan in via Meravigli 45/B, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza Lodi in collaboration with the The municipality of Milan.

The initiative was born within the Accessible Tourism Table, with the aim of promoting the culture of accessibility in light of the inspiring principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The day will be an opportunity to discuss and raise awareness among companies in the sector on these issues and will serve to focus on solutions aimed at overcoming structural and relationship obstacles in hotel accommodation facilities.

The Mayor's Delegate for accessibility policies of the Municipality of Milan, lawyer Lisa Noja, will take part in the event.

The seminar program will see the presentation of concrete actions within the strategic project for the promotion of tourism and attractiveness promoted by the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce; in particular, two calls for contributions of specific interest for companies belonging to the tourism sector will be presented, measures with which the aim is to increase the attractiveness and quality of the local tourist offer by supporting the innovation of companies, through contributions for interventions in the field technological and for redevelopment projects in terms of accessibility.
