Rights. Pride, Palazzo Marino lights up for four nights with rainbow colors

Milan, June 22 2021 - Palazzo Marino lights up with the colors of the rainbow on the occasion of Milan Pride 2021. For the first time the lighting will last four nights, from Wednesday 23 June to Saturday 26 June: from sunset until dawn the facade of the institutional headquarters of Palazzo Marino, in Piazza della Scala, will be colored with the six colors of the rainbow flag, a plastic representation of the Administration's closeness and support to the Milanese LGBTIQA+ community.

The initiative is made possible thanks to the support of five tech companies - Ebay, Facebook, Google, Spotify, Tik Tok - which will also promote and support the activities of Casa Arcobaleno, a protected environment that welcomes young people discriminated against by their families of origin for their sexual orientation, gender identity or the transition process undertaken.

The Administration confirms its support for the "Milan Pride Week - Milan Pride 2021" by sponsoring some of the planned initiatives, starting with the events organized on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 June in Piazza Francesca Romana (from 18pm to 23.30pm), at the Arco della Pace (from 18pm to 23.30pm) and in Largo Bellintani (from 18pm to 21pm), as part of the "Pride Square" initiative.

The final event will be held on Saturday 26 June, from 16pm to 21pm, which will culminate in a permanent demonstration in the square, at the Arco della Pace, in place of the traditional parade. The participants of the Arcobaleno Biciclettata will arrive here around 18 pm.

The calendar of events and reservations to access initiatives with limited entry are available on the site www.milanopride.it and on the platform Milan Pride eventbrite.
