State property. A new tender for two shops in the Galleria

The spaces are currently occupied by Stefanel. Tasca: “Let's proceed with valorisation and insist on competitions”

Milan, July 13 2019 - New tender for shops in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The guidelines for the tender for the concession of two commercial units in Piazza Duomo 21 have been approved. These are the spaces currently in use by Stefanel for a total of 568 square metres, which will be divided into two lots.

“We are proceeding quickly towards the valorisation of the commercial spaces in the Gallery and we insist on the mechanism of public tenders, the only way to guarantee our citizens regarding transparency and competition”. This was stated by State Property Councilor Roberto Tasca, who adds: “Furthermore, this time we have decided to divide the three shop windows currently in use at Stefanel alone into two distinct lots. We will have an additional shop that will enrich the commercial offer in the Milanese living room and we will be able to proceed with further sky-earth enhancements of the spaces in the future."

The unique space of 568 square meters and three windows will be divided into two lots with two separate tenders. The first lot of a showcase with basement and mezzanine is 95 square meters. The second with two windows with mezzanine, basement and mezzanine is 473 square meters. The annual starting price, calculated from the latest Revenue Agency estimates for the shops in the main section of the Gallery, will be 1.850 euros per square metre.

For the second lot there is the possibility of connecting the spaces on the upper floors of 363 square meters, currently occupied by municipal offices. The Administration has activated the procedures to free them. The successful bidder of the second lot will have to undertake to stipulate a subsequent contract relating to these spaces if the Municipality makes them available within three years of the award.

More generally, the awarding of spaces will take place through the criterion of the most economically advantageous offer, with the presentation of a technical offer (maximum score 60 points) and an economic offer (maximum 40 points).

The highest ratings will be given to commercial projects in clothing, design, luxury perfumery, art and antiques which demonstrate that they are linked to the most prestigious and consolidated traditions of the city, to the excellence of Made in Italy or international products.

The participation of the same person in both lots will be permitted, provided that they present two distinct offers.
