State property. New assignment in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

The showcase currently in use in Stefanel goes to Longchamp Italia for 760 thousand euros a year. Tasca: “Public tenders guarantee full competition. The most valid commercial project is awarded and not the highest economic offer"

Milan, 29 October 2019 – The 95 square meter space in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II currently used by Stefanel has been provisionally assigned. The winner of the tender, after an auction that saw eleven bidders, was Longchamp Italia, a well-known French brand that offers clothing and accessories and which offered 760 thousand euros in annual rent starting from an auction starting price of 175 thousand euros.

“The mechanism of the tenders in the Gallery produces good results from several points of view”, states the councilor for State Property Roberto Tasca, who adds: “In this case a high level activity was rewarded not only for the good economic offer presented but also for the high score obtained by the product offering"

The tender, in fact, involves the assignment of a maximum score of 60 points for the technical offer which is combined with a maximum score of 40 for the economic offer.

“The first place - underlines Tasca - presented a slightly lower offer than the second but the quality of the commercial offer weighed on the overall score, provided by the technical commission. I say this to remind you that those who have greater financial resources do not always prevail and that the Administration has studied the tender mechanism precisely to guarantee the public interest in the valorisation of real estate assets".

Longchamp Italia s.r.l. won thanks to a technical offer of 58 points combined with the economic offer of 760 thousand euros.
