State property. Public demonstration for the property in Piazzale Cantore 10

A first proposal from Carlo Cracco's “Maestro Martino” association. Tasca: “We are confident that we will return the property to professional training activities for young people as soon as possible”

Milan, January 10 2020 - The Council has approved the guidelines for a new expression of public interest for the concession for educational and training use of the property in Piazzale Cantore 10. This is a portion of the building measuring 1.369 m2 (the total space is 3.318 m2), which is offered for a fee of 200 thousand euros per year, with the obligation for the concessionaire to carry out the restoration work on the spaces.

“The premises in Piazzale Cantore are up for tender for the second time because we are not resigned to the fact that the building, intended for educational and professional training activities, remains empty – states the councilor for State Property, Roberto Tasca -. We are comforted to know that there is a concrete project, already presented to the Municipality, by an association ready to start with the redevelopment of part of the building. The new expression of interest approved by the Council is necessary to verify the existence of improvement proposals from other entities".

The first tender for the use of the building in Piazzale Cantore for training purposes was abandoned just a year ago. In the meantime, the Administration welcomed the expression of interest from the cultural association 'Maestro Martino', chaired by chef Carlo Cracco, who presented a project for the management of spaces to be used for the professional training of young chefs.

The works for the redevelopment of over 1.300 m2 of the building will have a cost borne by the concessionaire of at least 2 million euros, which can be deducted from the rental fee for the first 4 years.
