Milan, November 23 2019 - The guidelines for the publication of new tenders for the assignment of two rooms in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II have been approved. These are the stores currently in use by Armani Retail and Gianni Versace Spa, with windows in the Octagon and with contracts expiring in 2020.

The two premises will be auctioned using the auction mechanism, foreseen for shops whose windows overlook the Octagon or close to it. The tender notice includes a first phase in which the quality and excellence of the commercial proposal of the competitors will be evaluated. At a later stage the auction will take place.

The store currently in use by Armani Retail will be auctioned with an enlarged surface area compared to the current one: the first floor will be added to the ground floor with mezzanine and two windows for a total of 336 square metres. The starting price will be 2.675,17 euros of annual rent.

The shop currently in use at Versace Spa is made up of three windows, ground floor, mezzanine and basement for a total of 253 square meters and will start from a starting price of 2.934,91 euros per square metre.

The Administration also approved the guidelines for carrying out an investigation and planning activity preparatory to the implementation of some maintenance interventions on the iron and glass covering of the roof of the Gallery.

The diagnostic investigations, the technical and economic feasibility project report and the "FEM" modeling of the structures must be carried out taking into account the historical and monumental characteristics of the Gallery and will be entrusted through an open procedure to public tenders with the criterion of the most economically viable offer. advantageous. 

For the requested activities, which will presumably start in March 2020 and will last approximately 150 days, a maximum expenditure of approximately 433 thousand euros has been assigned.
