State property. The Municipality prepares new tenders for free toll booths

The tenders for the empty spaces of Principessa Clotilde and Porta Volta are being studied. Tasca: “Heritage places to be relaunched immediately”

Milan, August 17 2019 – The spaces still free inside the toll booths in Milan will be put up for tender in the coming months. The path of economic and socio-cultural valorisation of the Municipality's real estate heritage also continues with regard to the ancient gates of the city, where some spaces are still free.

“We are working quickly to make all the remaining free spaces available soon, valorising them – declares the councilor for State Property, Roberto Tasca –. The way of tenders is the most suitable to respond to the needs of a real estate market which in Milan is more lively than ever. And the toll booths constitute an excellent opportunity to continue the path of economic valorisation of our heritage and relaunch the historical and symbolic places of Milan with greater attractiveness".

All eyes are on the next races which will involve the two toll booths in Piazzale Principessa Clotilde 11 and 12, currently free, and the Porta Volta 22 toll booth which hosted, between 2018 and 2019, the Committee for the organization of the Association's Rally Alpine National Team.
The other 12 toll booths are currently occupied. Three of them host association offices: these are Porta Volta 23, viale Monza 335 and piazza Oberdan 58 and 63. In the remaining eight commercial activities operate with contracts expiring between 2021 and 2029. They are the toll booths of piazzale Cantore 2 and 6 , Piazza XXIV Maggio 1 and 2, the two toll booths in Piazza Cinque Giornate and Piazza 25 Aprile 11-16.
