The Municipality invests 100 million euros in three buildings. Tasca: "The reorganization of the offices begins: services closer to citizens and better workplaces for employees"

Milan, January 7 2020 – The new year opens with the purchase by the Administration of three properties intended for the opening of new municipal offices. Some important services for citizens will thus be decentralized in three different neighborhoods. At the same time, municipal employees will work in new work spaces in line with the best eco-sustainability standards.

The council approved the resolution with which the provisions for the purchase of the buildings in via Sile 8, in the Corvetto area, via Durando 38, in the area of the Polytechnic in Bovisa, and via Principe Eugenio 33, in the Cenisio area are made executive. The property in via Sile was selected through a dual public tender procedure; via Durando was purchased by the Polytechnic of Milan, while Principe Eugenio belonged to the metropolitan city. All the properties are easily connected to local public transport services and will improve the working conditions of municipal employees.

“With this step we are proceeding in a concrete way towards the reorganization of the municipal offices – explains the councilor for State Property Roberto Tasca -. It is an important economic investment that we believe is essential to offer services to citizens in three different neighborhoods of the city, moving the administrative offer to less central areas but easily connected by public transport. At the same time, we will have new, healthier and more modern spaces that will improve the working conditions of municipal employees. The movement of approximately 2.550 employees from various buildings in the city center will allow the Administration to obtain important savings in spending and revenue from the economic valorisation of the freed properties, with a clear indication in terms of the spending review model".

For the speakers Palazzo Marino this is a total investment of 102 million euros. The property in via Sile 8 in the Corvetto area of 34 thousand square meters on seven floors (which will be appropriately adapted to the requests of the Municipality by the seller) was purchased by the Administration for a sum of 65 million euros.

30,5 million euros were spent to purchase the building in via Durando 9 in the Bovisa area, also with seven floors for a total of 22 thousand m6,9. The building in via Principe Eugenio 33 in the Cenisio area, purchased by the metropolitan city, cost XNUMX million euros.

During the first quarter of the year, the General Management will start finalizing the transfer procedures, which will be concluded by 2021, redesigning the map of the presence of municipal offices in the city area.
