Milan, March 30 2021 – After a year of dialogue, never interrupted since the beginning of the health emergency, and of discussion with ANCI and the Ministry, the Coordination of the twelve councilors for Culture presented today to the Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini some shared proposals for the gradual and sure of the entire Culture sector. 
 
Minister Franceschini confirmed the destinations of the interventions with the 2021 emergency fund (already adopted in 2020) and accepted the proposal of the councillors, also in view of similar initiatives with the Regions, to establish a permanent consultation table with the Coordination at the Ministry, in order to give continuity to the dialogue, discussion and collaboration with the municipal administrations of the large cities, which constitute the first level of connection with the operators and manage the majority of the cultural realities of the territory, with the aim of overcoming the the current systemic crisis of culture and to plan its recovery. 
 
During the meeting, the income support measures for workers in the sector were also confirmed and the Municipalities were asked for further information on the identification of any categories in the cultural sectors that may not yet have been included in the refreshment mechanisms. 
 
Sharing the concern for the forced closure of places of art and culture and the need to encourage the resumption of live entertainment activities in safety, the Ministry has made itself available to deepen the good practices put in place by the Municipal Administrations also in view of forthcoming discussions with the CTS.
 
Finally, the proposal was presented to the Minister to create a three-year fund for the protection of urban cultural ecosystems: restricted funds managed directly and autonomously by the Municipal Administrations, to be disbursed through a public tender procedure to assist and accompany the recovery of those subjects who, due to their hybrid nature, are not included in the ordinary forms of support envisaged by the Ministry.
