The Protocol signed between the Municipality, IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico and ATS of the Metropolitan City of Milan

Milan, July 3 2020 – The Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Municipality of Milan, the Fondazione IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico di Milano and the ATS of the Metropolitan City of Milan to propose to the operators of the Security Area - Local Police and Civil Protection to undergo voluntary basis for serological tests for screening.

The contents and purposes of the Resolution of the Lombardy Regional Council provide for the possibility of proceeding, on an individual and voluntary basis, with serological tests for particular categories of subjects such as, for example, law enforcement agencies and local police forces.

Fondazione IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico has made its staff available to carry out serological tests and investigations in its laboratories in via Pace.

In the event of a positive or doubtful result (communicated within one day of the sampling date), the IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico Foundation will notify the Competent Doctor and ATS and will contact the subject to carry out the swab and in the event of a positive swab result , the subject will be taken care of by ATS for surveillance and subsequent checks.

The withdrawals will be scheduled starting next week based on the membership of the Security Area operators and up to 150 withdrawals can be carried out every day.
