Milan, March 9 2020 - Below is the main information on services to citizens.

REGISTRY REGISTRY AND ONLINE SERVICES 
 
The registry offices remain open, with the exception of via Boifava, 17 - Municipio 5 and piazzale Stovani, 3 - Municipio 7, closed for works, and for the office in via Sansovino, 9 - Municipio 3 which, due to its small size, cannot guarantees the safety distance between users.  
It is possible to access the counters only in case of urgent and urgent needs, by requesting an appointment on 020202. 
 
Various online services are available on the Municipality of Milan portal. By accessing the Citizen's File you can request and download registry certificates, request, manage and modify parking passes.   
To request a change of residence or address and to receive birth certificates and extracts via email, simply follow the guided procedure available for both services.
 
SOCIAL AND HOUSING POLICIES
 
The offices with functions dedicated to supporting situations of need remain open, but appointments relating to requests that are not urgent and non-deferrable will be postponed and rescheduled. In case of need, we ask you to prefer telephone contact on 020202 or via email at infopolitichesociali@comune.milano.it. Furthermore, in compliance with the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers, the following services will not be operational: 
 
Socio-Educational Centers (CSE), Autonomy Training Spaces (SFA), Disabled Aggregation Centers (CAD), Occupational Therapy Laboratories (LTO), Association Houses, Cultural Socio-Recreational Centers (CSRC), Minor Day Centres, House of Rights. 
Furthermore, group activities in the context of home services and social activities in the context of social custody will not be provided.  
As regards services for the homeless, the municipal dormitories remain open and provide health screening before each new access. The CASC (Central station help centre) in via Sammartini 120 will open to the public from 9am to 13pm, with limited entry: one person will be admitted at a time who will interview the operator while maintaining a safe distance.  
The Housing Emergency Help Desk is open every morning, from Monday to Friday, from 9,30 to 12 in via Larga 12 (fourth floor). 
 
LIBRARIES 
 
There are over 33.300 e-books that can be downloaded for free from the MLOL (MediaLibraryOnLine) website. MLOL is a network of public libraries for digital lending which all members of the Milan Library System (SBM) can access directly (milano.medialibrary.it) or from the System portal (milano.biblioteche.it).  
In addition to e-books - you can download up to 3 e-books per month - on the MLOL portal you can listen to 991 audiobooks and music for free (over 120 thousand audio files), and you can browse newspapers and magazines (over 7.100 publications, Italian and foreign). 
 
Not only that, all the audio tracks and e-books can also be downloaded and taken with you on your devices.
 
Furthermore, another 19 e-books (titles that have no longer been reprinted and are therefore no longer available to paper readers) are freely accessible from the SBM website by selecting "Sormani e-books" from the "Digital collections" menu. 
The username of the SBM cards is always the user's tax code, while the password can be reset by entering your e-mail address. 
 
SMART WORKING 
 
To guarantee the continuity of the services provided by the Municipality and at the same time reduce the possible opportunities for contagion and spread of the Covid-19 virus, to date there are 1600 Administration employees who can carry out their duties in smart working mode (there were 320 before advent of the current emergency situation).
