Coronavirus. Local police, 2.171 checks on streets and parks over the Easter weekend

Milan, 13 April 2020 – 2.171 checks were carried out by the local police during the Easter weekend to verify compliance with Prime Ministerial Decrees and ordinances relating to the coronavirus.

In particular, 254 checks were carried out between Friday and Sunday, within green areas and parks. During Easter, the local police of Milan also used some drones from the municipality in a joint activity with the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza which took place in the Forlanini and Monte Stella parks and which continues today in the Lambro and Trenno parks.

On the other hand, 1.765 checks were carried out on the main access and exit routes of the city and 152 were carried out in supermarkets, hypermarkets and covered municipal markets.

From the end of February to today, over 20 thousand checks have been carried out by the local police to verify compliance with the various provisions contained in the decrees and ordinances, which resulted in around 140 sanctions.
