Coronavirus. Around 1.500 local police officers will be operational for the weekend
Milan, 30 April 2020 – On the occasion of the May 1.500st long weekend, XNUMX local police officers will be operational between Friday, Saturday and Sunday, to verify compliance with the provisions in force. In particular, attention will be focused on parks, also through the use of drones, and on the main access and exit routes of the city.
“It is important that everyone remembers that until Sunday the restrictions foreseen in the so-called 'Phase 1' are in force – underlines the Commander of the local Police Marco Ciacci –. Parks and green areas are therefore not accessible for any reason and travel outside the Municipality is prohibited unless motivated by proven work, health or necessity needs".
Over 23.300 checks have been carried out to date in public establishments, supermarkets and covered markets, around 6.000 of people on the road and 1.750 in parks and green areas. Furthermore, there were around 350 activities to combat illegal commercial activity and around 7.400 checks on quarantines.
