Milan, 24 April 2020 – On the occasion of the weekend of the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation, the local police will be present in the city with over 1.100 officers, between Saturday and Sunday, committed to verifying compliance with the ordinances relating to the Coronavirus. In particular, parks will be monitored, also through the use of drones, and the main access and exit routes of the city.

“As for the Easter weekend, even in this case the attention will be maximum – comments the Deputy Mayor and Security Councilor Anna Scavuzzo -. We all realize that the desire to go out is becoming stronger and stronger, but it is not yet the time and we must not frustrate the efforts made to date by contravening the ordinances and Prime Ministerial Decrees which are still in force".

To date, the local police have carried out 22.640 checks on public establishments, supermarkets and covered markets (151 sanctions), over 5.200 checks on people on the road (261 sanctions), 1.070 checks on parks and green areas and 337 anti-trafficking activities. commercial illegal activity (10 seizures). Also in relation to the Coronavirus, more than 4.900 quarantine checks were carried out.
