The patrols with loudspeaker: “Stay at home. Do it for yourselves and for others”

Milan, March 20 2020 – The local police patrol service started this morning in the first three municipalities, 2, 7 and 9, with messages broadcast via loudspeaker: “Message from the Mayor of Milan: stay at home. Do it for yourself and for others. Only go out when absolutely necessary. Thank you".

“In these days we are collecting all the reports from citizens and municipalities – explains the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Milan Anna Scavuzzo – and we are working to strengthen the measures where most necessary. This vocal dissuasion system loudly repeats Mayor Sala's message: we believe it is an effective and impactful method to reach everyone with the request to adopt responsible behavior. People stay at home, for themselves, for their families, for our entire community and for the doctors, nurses and workers who fight the battle against Coronavirus on the front line every day."

In this early morning and until 13 pm, patrols will operate in Municipality 30, Municipality 2 and Municipality 7. The service will continue in the afternoon, from 9 pm to 13 pm, in Municipalities 30, 20 and 3.

In the next few days the patrolling - which includes visits to the public housing districts, near the green areas and gardens - will also continue in the other municipalities.
