"After the arrival of the first guests at the Michelangelo, the opening of the accommodation in via Carbonia, the conversion into reception places of part of the sports facilities of the Saini center and the tensile structure at the Scalo Romana, the Municipality continues with determination the search for structures and spaces to be allocated to quarantine - declare the councilors Pierfrancesco Maran (Urban Planning) and Gabriele Rabaiotti (Social and Housing Policies) -. We need to stem one of the most critical problems of this epidemic, contagion within the family or among those who live in structures collective. To date, we do not know from the health authorities what the need for isolation beds will be in the coming weeks, but we want to be ready to have new suitable and welcoming places to promptly stem the spread of the virus. This is what we can do, but not we can be alone."

The public notice is aimed at individuals who want to make available apartments, hotels and accommodation facilities suitable to respond to the temporary housing offer necessary in the emergency phase;

Three types of service required:

  • temporary accommodation for the hospitality of healthcare personnel (doctors and nurses), workers in essential services, people returning to the city who are required to quarantine and people discharged from hospitals who cannot return to their accommodation. Guests will be able to book homes independently via booking platforms for a maximum cost of 15 euros per day (in the case of accommodation) and 30 euros in the case of hotels whose management is maintained and guaranteed;
  • accommodation facilities such as hotels, hostels and residences for Covid-19 positive citizens who require isolation. In this case, the activation of an agreement between the Municipality and the property is envisaged which, if necessary, provides for the preparation of meals by Milano Ristorazione and management costs to be borne by the public institution. The health and surveillance aspects regarding the subjects subjected to quarantine will be managed by the respective competent authorities, ATS and Prefecture;
