Tajani: "We have put online all the projects and initiatives that private, public and company entities are imagining and implementing to help citizens deal with the emergency and make the most of the quarantine"

Milan, 10 April 2020 – From Bovisattiva volunteers at the service of the weakest in the neighborhood to computer scientists who help elderly people in difficulty with telephone, PC and tablet; from “Ugo”, the Milanese startup that makes its operators available to people who cannot leave their homes, to “PharMap” to receive medicines at home; from the Polytechnic which helps schools that want to go digital to the "suspended shopping" organized by Coldiretti, Campagna amica and Terranostra for needy families.

There are already more than 40 collaborative services and projects registered by the Municipality of Milan and promoted by associations, institutions, start-ups and Milanese businesses that enhance and encourage innovation and collaboration to improve the lives of citizens during the CoViD-19 emergency .

“After having created and put online 'Shopping at home', the map of the commercial establishments that carry out home deliveries, thus satisfying the most urgent needs - comments the councilor for employment policies, productive activities and trade Cristina Tajani -, we are now launching "Milan helps - Services and projects": a catalog of innovation and collaboration initiatives useful to citizens and businesses to respond to the many needs of the emergency, while staying at home. Two objectives are pursued with this initiative: the first is to network all the initiatives that public and private entities are carrying out to help citizens deal with the emergency; the second is to encourage the development of innovation and civic collaboration also at neighborhood level".

The catalog can be consulted directly at https://milanoaiuta-servizi.comune.milano.it/.

Milan helps - Services and projects is an initiative of the Department of Work and Productive Activities carried out in collaboration with the Catholic University - TraiLab, APS Collaboriamo, Milan Polytechnic DASTU and SUPER Higher School of Applied Arts of the Castello Sforzesco, as part of the actions of the Municipality to support the collaborative economy.

The services listed in the catalog can be accessed via keywords, thematic areas and areas of interest ranging from "Personal services" for those most in need to physical, spiritual and psychological "wellbeing", from "Culture" with cinema, museums and more , to "Education" with resources and technologies for distance learning, through "Work and business" where you can find initiatives dedicated to productive activities, "Daily life" where you can discover solutions and suggestions for everyday life up to proximity initiatives and neighbors who come from the city's neighborhoods.

Through the "Milan helps - Services and projects" page, all public and private organizations that are creating particularly useful services and initiatives can report their activities to the Municipality. The services surveyed by Milan helps - Services and Projects are both free and paid if provided by private entities. The Milan helps - Services and projects platform is entirely created in open source mode and is available to other municipalities interested in replicating the service during the CoViD-19 emergency.
