Coronavirus. Another 42 tablets delivered to students by local police and civil protection

Milan, 17 April 2020 – The last tablets intended for the students of IPS “B. are being delivered this morning. Cavalieri”: in total, between yesterday and today, 42 devices were brought directly to the homes of as many families residing in Milan and outside the city by local police patrols and civil protection teams of the Municipality of Milan.

The service was born from the request of the school director to the local police command, through Municipality 1, to receive help and thus avoid the delivery taking place in person at the headquarters of the professional institute in via Olona. This is the second service of this type - 44 computers were delivered last week to the students of the “E. Torricelli” – which aims to allow all boys and girls who need it to be able to follow distance learning.

To achieve this objective the Municipality of Milan has also published a notice aimed at collecting offers of free IT equipment for students from companies, foundations and third sector bodies. The Municipality will ensure that the requests of the schools meet the offers of the donors, to particularly support the most difficult situations.
