The Chamber approves the provision which affects Cascina Molino Torrette and Cassinetta San Gregorio at Parco Lambro

Milan, July 23 2021 – The City Council approved the declaration of prevailing public interests for the purposes of maintaining part of the structures and the consequent acquisition of part of the Cascina Molino Torrette and the Cassinetta San Gregorio, located in via Giuseppe Marotta within the Lambro Park, for the municipal heritage .

These are buildings constructed without a building permit in an area owned by the municipality as part of the expansion of the spaces assigned in 1992 respectively to the Exodus Onlus Foundation and the Centro Ambrosiano di Solidarietà (CeAs) Onlus, both points of reference in the city for support and the recovery of fragile people and people in difficult situations. These structures, which were created by Exodus and CeAs to offer quality services to many citizens in difficulty, have also contributed to the enhancement of the Lambro park.

With the exception of the buildings located within the buffer zone of the Lambro river (equal to 10 metres) which will be demolished, the other structures will be acquired as part of the municipal heritage in consideration of the existence of prevailing public interests and the fact that they do not conflict with urban planning and environmental.

Since the farmhouse structures are located in the Lambro floodplain, the resolution simultaneously approves the Hydraulic Risk Scenario of a flood event of the Civil Protection Plan - Floodplain area on the left orographic bank of the Lambro River from Cascina Gobba to Via Feltre.
