Milan, October 12 2020 – Tomorrow, Tuesday 13 October, at 16pm at the Civic Aquarium in via Gadio 6, the President of the City Council Lamberto Bertolé will participate in the conference “The media and faces of stigma – false myths in the narrative of mental distress”, organized by the Presidency of the Council municipal in collaboration with the Milanese Coordination of the Third Sector on mental health and with the patronage of ATS Milan.

"A necessary moment of reflection - states the President of the Municipal Council Lamberto Bertolé - which enriches the program of initiatives linked to the World Mental Health Day, just celebrated. The correct use of words and messages conveyed by the media is fundamental so that citizens develop the right sensitivity and tools to understand and deal with mental health issues".

“Tuesday - says the Milanese Coordination of the Third Mental Health Sector - wants to start again from the stimuli given by the Trieste Charter, an ethical code designed to promote correct information regarding mental health. We believe it is essential to stimulate reflection on the importance of how and what to communicate in the world of information so that mental health can be promoted in the places we live."
