Town Council. In via Triboniano and viale Toscana the new depots for full electric LPT vehicles
The chamber approves the resolution which establishes the transfer of state-owned areas to Atm
Milan, July 23 2021 – The City Council approved the resolution sanctioning the transfer to ATM of the state-owned areas of via Triboniano and viale Toscana for the construction of depots functional to the full electric local public transport service.
The provision makes it possible to start the creation of the two depots in order to host part of the existing electric fleet and that of the soon-to-be-acquired one. The use of the areas transferred to ATM will remain tied to the management of the public transport service of the city of Milan.
They will be innovative and sustainable depots, intended exclusively for electric buses and powered, as already happens throughout the company, with renewable energy. In Viale Toscana the structure will be underground, with the addition of green areas on the surface.
This will also be an opportunity to redevelop two areas that are currently degraded.
To finalize the acquisition, the resolution also provides for the amendment of the Company's Articles of Association.
