Town Council. The new regulation for the collection of taxes has been approved
Milan, 8 April 2021 – With 27 votes in favor and 8 abstentions, the city council approved the amendment to the regulation for the management of the collection of municipal revenue.
New features have been introduced that concern greater attention to families and individuals in a state of economic hardship, with certain methods such as installment payments, the offsetting of debts and credits and the redefinition of the compulsory collection procedure.
In particular, the procedures for requesting and issuing installments are redefined. During the debate in the Chamber, corrective measures were introduced which extend the maximum duration of the installment plans up to 72 monthly installments for debts exceeding 6.000,01 euros. Elements of flexibility have been introduced to deal with conditions of extreme socio-economic hardship.
The provision is valid from when the state of emergency is in force and will continue until December 2022.
