177 million euro maneuver to rebalance the lost revenue. Tasca: “Healthy financial statements accompanying the relaunch of the city”

Milan, July 27 2021 - The City Council approved the change to the 2021 budget. The balance of the current account at 3,4 billion euros and the capital account at 4,8 billion euros was achieved thanks to the obtaining of greater revenues, part of which represented by the administration surplus. The maneuver was necessary to rebalance 177 million euros of lost revenue.

“The maneuver just approved by the Council – states the budget councilor, Roberto Tasca – delivers a healthy state of accounts and the possibility, through some choices made by the Council, of accompanying the economic and social restart of our city in a concrete and solid. I thank the city councilors for the fruitful discussion which allowed the change to be approved."

The lost revenue concerns some budget items relating to lower revenue for the Tourist Tax (-15 million), local public transport fares (-100 million), Single Property Fee (-19 million), fines to the highway code ( -13.5 million) and other minor items.
The greater revenues that allow the rebalancing are 40 million coming from the Government, 100 million covered by the share of the administration surplus, 20 million of lower expenses on municipal departments, 17 million which include a greater collection on minor taxes, greater dividends from A2A and revenues of the urban planning sector.
