Real estate complex via Tolstoj: Reale Group and the Municipality of Milan identify a solution to protect all tenants

The maintenance interventions will be carried out without vacating the housing units

Milan, October 16 2020 – Following the technical roundtable in which, on Wednesday 7 October, the Municipality of Milan and the management of Reale Group took part, Reale Immobili announced that for the protection of its tenants it will immediately carry out the necessary interventions to guarantee comfort housing and the functioning of all components of the buildings of the Tolstoy Street residential complex. All the technical solutions that will be pursued will have as their common objective the completion of the works, keeping the tenants in their homes.

Therefore, in continuity with what has been practiced to date, all tenants with lease contracts that have reached their natural end will be offered the renewal of the same under the conditions that the market will express at the time of each expiration.

In line with the values of mutuality and attention to people, which have guided Reale Group for more than 190 years, particular attention will be paid to people belonging to particularly fragile categories (age, health conditions, ...), who will be guaranteed permanence in the apartments occupied by them at the current economic conditions, for the next renewals and until the natural conclusion of ownership of the rental contract.

“Reale Mutua - commented the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala - has shared with us a very positive solution for families and for Milan, a project that will improve the quality of living for over 200 families, combining investments in properties and protection of tenants . When together with Municipality 6 I took action to resolve a complex issue like that of Tolstoy Street, I knew that patience, dialogue and good will would be needed. I am satisfied to have found the necessary attention and sensitivity in Reale Mutua. This is proof that cities, and Milan first and foremost, can grow by continuing to include. And that progress and equity are not opposing values."

“The solution identified and shared with the Municipality of Milan allows us to maintain the conditions of comfort and contractual fairness that we usually guarantee to all tenants of our real estate assets – declared Alberto Ramella, General Director of Reale Immobili. The valorisation of the reference territory also passes through attention to individuals and communities, which was immediately shared with the Municipal Administration of Milan and which for Reale Group constitutes the starting point of any initiative, which has always been based to sustainable development.”
