Milan, 5 April 2022 – Morning of news in via Paolo Sarpi for the unveiling of the "Historical Shops of DUC Sarpi" signs. The initiative organized by Confcommercio Milano and the Via Sarpi Doc Association involved six historic shops in the neighbourhood, four in via Sarpi, one in via Canonica and one in via Piero della Francesca, with at least 50 years of activity behind them and already awarded the recognition of "Historical Workshops" of the Municipality of Milan.

After receiving recognition as historic shops from the municipal administration, they joined the Confcommercio Historic Business Club which decided to identify their presence with a special sign. The image proposed and created by the Civic School of Art and Message was unveiled today in the presence of the councilor for Economic Development and Labor Policies, Alessia Cappello, with the President of the Via Sarpi Doc association, Francesco Novetti and Sofia Cerrone, former student of the Civic School and winner of the competition for the graphic design of the historic shop flag sign.

"The historic shops – said councilor Cappello – are the result of the desire to keep the family traditions alive by carrying out activities with passion and Ambrosian ability that have remained a point of reference throughout the city. The six historic shops of the DUC Sarpi they are the symbol of an entrepreneurship that has maintained its value over time thanks to the quality of what it does and offers and the passion for its work. It is therefore good to identify these places with a sign that tells of and celebrates their presence in the different neighborhoods" .

"The signs of Bottega Storica in the DUC Sarpi – declared the president of the association network Vie Confcommercio Milano with the coordination of the DUC of Milan, Gabriel Meghnagi – constitute the beginning of an ambitious objective: to bring the signs of historic shops throughout Milan, creating guided tours to discover the Milanese excellences. A way to strengthen the attractiveness of the city and attract new tourists".
