Milan, May 22 2020 - It's online from today portal for the request for temporary occupation of public land. As established by a resolution of the City Council, all merchants will have the opportunity to increase the spaces available to their commercial activity without paying COSAP and will be able to take advantage of a simplified procedure by applying electronically. 

"The developed system speeds up the usual authorization processes on the one hand with the introduction of more streamlined request methods, on the other through the Municipality's commitment to provide feedback within 15 days - explain the councilors Pierfrancesco Maran (Urban Planning) and Cristina Tajani (Commerce) - We know how difficult this moment is for traders, and through these temporary concessions we also recover social spaces for citizens".

Filling out the request is simple. After registering on the portal developed ad hoc by the SIAD area of ​​the Administration - either the owner or a delegate can do so - it is necessary to fill in the pre-compiled format with information relating to the commercial activity, the area you intend to occupy and the type of structures that are required to be installed. The only documents that need to be attached are the plan of the area, the applicant's identity document and the application signed at the end of the compilation.

Traders can request the occupation of squares, sidewalks, green areas and car parks for the installation of light structures such as tables, chairs, umbrellas, platforms and exhibition spaces. Within 15 days of receiving the request, the Administration will issue the employment permit, which will take into account the rules relating to road safety and public order, as well as the containment of noise pollution and the ban on gatherings.
