Milan, June 11 2019 – The Inter-Councillor Committee has reviewed the provision authorizing the holding of the “50 years of Nerazzurri support” event at the Montanelli Gardens, scheduled for 30 June 2019 and authorized at the Committee meeting on 13 May.
 
The decision was taken following the usual joint inspection on 4 June with the Police Authority. for the Safety and Security aspects, from which it emerged that during the event the entrance gates to the park should have been partially closed and manned by organization staff equipped with metal detectors. An aspect in contrast with the requirements of the Green Agriculture and Urban Furnishings Area according to which events must not disturb those who frequent the gardens.
 
Furthermore, it was highlighted that, due to the nature of the event, quite a few critical issues could arise, linked to the number of participants, recalling the initiative to all entities linked to Nerazzurri support, ultras and otherwise, which may not correspond to what was stated in place of proposal of the request.
 
The requirements already identified and those that could be added in conjunction with the event could therefore have a negative impact on regular use of the park, potentially creating quite a few public order problems.
 
By virtue of all this, it was deemed appropriate to review the provision and advise the organizers of the event to identify a new location where access is controlled without this distorting the natural use of the space concerned.
