The call to animate the event promoted by the Municipality in collaboration with the Cariplo Foundation is online

Milan, July 25 2019 – “Milano Partecipa” is born from the collaboration between the Cariplo Foundation and the Municipality of Milan, the event that from 22 to 24 November will enliven the city with meetings on politics and civic activism in the digital age.

The main objective of the event, which will have Mudec as its headquarters, is to stimulate the pleasure of discussion and discussions on values, principles, ideas and projects through the involvement of citizens in a public debate which also helps strengthen the sense of belonging to community and social inclusion.

A party during which citizens will be able to meet the protagonists of public life but also experts, journalists, representatives of the academic world and associations, actors, scientists, and writers.

There are four thematic areas of "Milano Partecipa", which will be addressed through workshops, conferences, interviews, lectures, round tables and exhibitions:

  • Digitalization of the democratic process: how new technologies influence the process of consensus formation and the way politics acts, communicates and evolves.
  • Economy and Country System: how to face global economic challenges by giving concrete answers such as "Sistema Italia" to the productive world that generates work and well-being.
  • Community and Territory: the community and the territories are fertile ground for initiatives of great impact aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens. Politics must translate and replicate these virtuous models.
  • Cities and Politics: cities are the place where most people live and where the most innovative and creative experiences are concentrated. An international comparison with the main cities of the world will help to understand how and where possible new initiatives can be oriented.

In line with the desire to bring the project to life, the three-day schedule will be the result of the participation and co-creation of the promoters, who will be joined by the proponents who are invited to join the public call to animate the initiative available starting from today on portal of the Municipality of Milan.

The selected projects must be carried out independently and aimed at all citizens, with consideration also for families and children.

Proposals that may be part of the Milano Partecipa calendar must be submitted by 18:00 pm on 2 September 2019.
