Monumental Cemetery. Four newsstands awarded with public auction

The first procedure of this type for very high-quality funerary monuments ends with a total value of close to 2,6 million euros

Milan, September 15 2021 – The first public auction procedure for the assignment of four aedicules in the Monumental Cemetery concluded with the provisional assignment of the funerary monuments for a total value of almost 2.6 million euros. 

A total of 15 offers were submitted by 7 participants. The former Pozzi newsstand (auction starting price 678 thousand euros) was sold for 1 million euros; 926 thousand euros was the best offer for the former Valdani newsstand (auction starting price 388 thousand euros); 502 thousand euros were offered for the former Coulliaux newsstand (auction starting price of 287 thousand euros), while for the former Bardelli newsstand the best offer was 155 thousand euros (auction starting price of 122 thousand euros). 

After the documentary verification, the final assignment of the four newsstands will be made. The duration of the concession will be ninety-nine years and the concessionaire will also have to take charge of the interventions aimed at the restoration and maintenance of the aedicule, to be submitted to the approval of the Archaeological, Fine Arts and Landscape Superintendence.
