Milan, March 18 2023 – This morning, on the occasion of the National Day in memory of the victims of Covid, a moment of reflection was held in front of the angel-shaped monument in Carrara marble, present in Field 87 of the Major Cemetery, where the councilor for civic services Gaia Romani, together with the President of Municipality 8, Giulia Pelucchi, laid a wreath of flowers, as a tribute and in memory of the people who lost their lives far from the affection of their loved ones in the first wave of the pandemic.

"On this day dedicated to the memory of the victims of the epidemic – says councilor Romani – we cannot help but stop and address a moving thought to all those who have been affected by the tragedy of Covid, losing a loved one or family This day was created to remember first and foremost the victims, but I would like to dedicate a moment of reflection and deep thanks to, not only the doctors and healthcare personnel, but also the cemetery services workers who worked with them. great dedication and sense of responsibility during the most difficult months of the pandemic. These people have done a fundamental job for our community, ensuring the burial of all those who lost their lives due to the virus cannot be underestimated. because thanks to them we were able to guarantee a final and dignified farewell to the women and men who left us and who we are here to remember today".
