Milan, July 22 2020 – The Hall of the Leonardesque axis will temporarily reopen to the public from tomorrow, Thursday 23 July, which can be admired by visitors to the Castle museums in a new form: free from the physical and multimedia structures of the “Leonardo never seen” installation - which have welcomed almost 350.000 visitors on the occasion of the five hundredth anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci - and with essential lighting that will allow you to admire the Hall, the restored Monochrome and the Leonardesque drawings that emerged during the restoration of the walls, waiting to host the scaffolding from September the continuation of the diagnostic and restoration worksite.

Instead of the audio and video multimedia supports that were an integral part of the “Leonardo mai visto” installation, the audio guide available in the bookshop and the room cards, can be downloaded also through QR Code, they will tell its story with timely, detailed and also accessible to audiences with visual impairments.

The Hall can be visited along the route of the Museum of Ancient Art, accessible by purchasing a ticket (5 euros) which also allows you to visit all the remaining museums of the Castle open to the public (the Rondanini Pietà Museum, the Ancient Art, the Museum of Decorative Arts and the Museum of Musical Instruments).

Although not mandatory, booking on place it is recommended to allow better management of the visit and ensure entry. Visitors will still be able to access the collections, always within the limits of the capacity foreseen for each time slot, by purchasing the ticket at the museum entrance. The Castle museums are open on Thursdays and Fridays, from 11am to 18pm (last entry at 17pm).
