The new deadline is set for May 18th at 12pm

Milan, May 3 2022 – The Municipality of Milan has decided to extend to 12 noon on Wednesday 18 May the deadline for submitting requests for the public notice "Measures to support the maintenance of rented accommodation on the free market" which provides for an initial total allocation of at 4.777.261 euros (the initially scheduled deadline was Wednesday 11 May).

The public notice issued by the Municipality of Milan, in collaboration with Milano Abitare – Agency for accessible rent, aims to support families with ISEE equal to or less than 26.000 euros to cover the expenses for the payment of the rent.

It is possible to request the provision of a contribution of up to 3.000 euros which will serve to cover a maximum of 8 months' rent. The contribution will be paid directly to the owner of the accommodation within 30 days of the end of the procedure and is aimed at covering the cost of rent not paid or to be paid.

The owner indicated in the rental contract (tenant) of the real estate unit which must be located in the territory of the Municipality of Milan can submit the application. The contribution application must be submitted by 12 noon on Wednesday 18 May through the dedicated online platform, by connecting to the web page Contribution 2022 "Covid one size fits all".

To obtain the contribution, the following requirements are necessary: ​​have an ordinary ISEE certificate of less than or equal to 26.000 euros, not be subject to housing release procedures, not be the owner of adequate accommodation in the territory of the Lombardy Region and be resident in the rented accommodation for which the contribution is requested, with a regular contract, for at least six months from 20 April, date of publication of the Notice.

To access and complete the request, both the tenant and the owner must have a Public Digital Identity System (SPID) user.

From August 2020 to today, through measures to support the maintenance of rental housing on the free market, an amount of 9.912.393 euros has been disbursed in Milan between European, state and regional funds which has made it possible to support 6.780 requests submitted .
Since 20 April 2022, the opening date of the new public notice, 6.174 applications have already been completed.
