The public tender opens tomorrow, proposers will also be asked for possible streaming

Milan, September 20 2021 – A multimedia event, sustainable and accessible to all, in the spirit of an attractive and international Milan. This is how the event to celebrate next New Year's Eve in Piazza Duomo should be.

The Municipality of Milan has launched the guidelines - and tomorrow it will open the public tender which will remain open until 22 October - to allow the collection of proposals from entities already active in the organization of events, in the commercial, economic and profit sectors and non-profit, able to activate forms of sponsorship to guarantee the artistic realization and economic sustainability of the event.

A celebratory moment capable of enhancing the city's places and monuments even if at a time still penalized by the health emergency. In fact, based on last year's experience, the show (which may be musical and/or multimedia) must be broadcast via streaming if national or regional measures limit spectator access to the square.

The Municipality will ask that the projects presented take into account the current situation but are a symbol of the desire to restart and reclaim the spaces of our city. Culture and entertainment, strategic factors for the economic and social development of the area, contribute fundamentally to growth, well-being and the relaunch of tourism.

The proponents will have to take responsibility for supporting the project from an ideational, organizational, administrative and financial point of view through the involvement of sponsors. The municipal administration will guarantee full visibility to the promotion of the event and to the sponsors involved, in the setting of its most prestigious spaces.
