Milan, July 20 2021 - The Municipality of Milan has decided to start some urgent road construction sites: the first in Piazza Maggi, where the works started this morning, and the second in Piazza Amendola, starting on July 25th.

In detail, the construction site in Piazza Maggi concerns the restoration of the concrete wall of the roundabout and the guardrail which had been destroyed by a serious accident which occurred last May. The construction site will continue until the end of August and involves the narrowing of the road at the roundabout.

As regards the construction site in Piazza Amendola, made necessary by urgent works on the M1 Amendola-Lotto tunnel, starting from 25 July and until 11 August, the intersection will be closed except for the flow of traffic coming from via Domenichino in direction of viale Monte Rosa and highways.
For these works, some public transport lines will be diverted: bus 68 which, in the direction of Bergognone, diverts and skips the stops in via Silva and via Monte Rosa (the route does not change in the direction of Bonola M1) and the night-time replacement M1, where the buses in the direction of Sesto FS deviate and stop at Lotto M1 and M5 further back, before viale Migliara in correspondence with that of line 91.
