The Finleonardo group company will contribute to the set-up of the area reserved for children currently under construction. Maran: "Let's transform the square into the symbol of the revitalization of the neighborhood" 

Milan, March 7 2021 – The Michelangelo hotel of the Finleonardo group will also contribute to the redevelopment of Piazza Luigi di Savoia. After making the structure available to host Covid patients and people in need of isolation during the first wave of the pandemic, the company in charge of the hotel has decided to donate the games that will be used to set up the area dedicated to the little ones currently being built. construction in the square in front of the hotel.  

“We thank Michelangelo for this further act of generosity towards the city – declared the councilor for Urban and Green Planning Pierfrancesco Maran -. We want to radically change the face of Piazza Luigi di Savoia, transforming it from a bivouac place to a safe and protected area for all the children in the neighborhood. We want to create a high quality place, which is a symbol and piece for the revitalization of the neighbourhood, whose cornerstone is the Central Station". 

The donation includes the supply and installation of anti-shock flooring in recycled rubber, six wooden benches and five games for children up to 12 years old: a climbing pyramid with a central wooden element, a swing with an inclusive basket and a natural wood structure , a balance game in natural wood, a crossing-agility game in natural wood, a two-seater solid wood seesaw.  

The creation of the new area dedicated to children is the result of the listening and sharing process of the "Cantiere Centrale" opened by the Municipality together with Grandi Stazioni Retail, the associations and Municipality 2. The intervention is carried out by Grandi Stazioni Retail and financed with 300 thousand euros of additional contributions, as provided for in the agreement for the construction of the Central Market in the spaces of Piazza Quattro Novembre. The work is underway and will be completed in the spring.
