The Council approves the policy document requested by the City Council to postpone tariff deadlines and mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 emergency

Milan, May 28 2021 – The Council has approved the act of political direction for the postponement of the deadlines of the body's tax levies and the payments of contributions, fees and membership and contribution fees due to the Municipality of Milan. The decision follows the will expressed by the City Council to commit the Administration to continuing the support and refreshment path started during the current pandemic emergency.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Council has intervened with some measures for the temporary suspension of payments, installments of the amounts due and concessions. The continuation of the health emergency and the worsening of the economic crisis has pushed the City Council to ask for further support measures, with the postponement of the deadlines of all forms of tax levies operated by the Municipality (contributions, fees, fees, association fees- contributions and all forms of payment due to the Municipality of Milan).

On the basis of these indications, the Council then takes action by postponing the deadlines for the organisation's tax levies, payments and contributions. We start with the deferral of the TARI payment terms for the current year and with the installments for previous years. The tourist tax for the current year is also postponed, also providing for the installments of payments due starting from May 2020.

The payment deadlines for the Single Fee and the Fee for permanent occupations of public land (kiosks and newsstands) are expected to be deferred. Temporary jobs are already exempt for the entire 2021 year.

For nursery school fees, reductions of 50% of the amounts due in relation to the period of non-use of the service due to closure have been approved and the payment deadline has been deferred to 3 September. Reductions are also foreseen for school lunch fees in proportion to the periods of non-use. Payment slips are suspended until 31 October 2021 for day centers for disabled people.

There is also news on the rental front for municipal properties. Decided to defer to 31 October 2021 the terms of payment of the fees due for rental contracts also relating to covered municipal markets and municipal properties used for different uses, intended for cultural, recreational and institutional activities also attributed to management by MM SpA.

A provision (excluding IMU and additional IRPEF which depend on state laws) intended to provide important financial relief to Milanese businesses and citizens.
